Now here’s a surprise!

A massive collection of music books and pieces of music

Becoming fewer day by day as technology springs them out of print.

All the music shops, bar one or two, are spiralling out of orbit

Into pastures new. We can print them ourselves.

If we can afford it. Personally, I prefer music books.

We may learn a thing or two

We may not.

Sir Keir Starmar, known also to Fat Boy Slim

May or may not know I’m a friend of his and hymn

Sometimes.

They may be spiralling out of orbit ‘n all.

Anyway, there shall be more music to follow from me.

Wait a minute

You may not be able to escape.

They may keep you longer than you anticipated or expected!

The green man has changed his character since then

He is no longer a bully

He keeps people long enough to learn their lessons

Sometimes he will let them out of class early when they have something more important to do.

Other times he lets them out so they may go home.

The two above his head have been kept in for detention

They won’t be allowed out until they learn how to behave themselves.

Do you know a green man like him? "Yes we do" was the reply
"We never noticed the red man..." one of the Angels said.

Car Journey January 2010

I had been driving down the M6 for about an hour, with my granddaughter in the car, when I noticed one of my windscreen wipers flapping off the screen. I thought it already too late to turn back so continued with my journey. I tested the wipers and they appeared to be working alright. There had been reports of snow and bad weather so I was a little concerned. To my dismay, a hundred miles later, the recalcitrant wiper flew off as I was overtaking two lorries. I carried on driving, taking note that the sky in the distance was getting blacker and blacker. I realised that my car was also now illegal. I stopped at the next service area where there was no milk for the baby and a very expensive tepid meal, thinking this does not augur well for a new wiper. I drove into get petrol and thankfully they sold two wiper blades to me for a third of the price I had paid my own garage for a back wiper blade before setting out on my journey. The garage assistant was not allowed to help me replace my wiper blade so whilst muttering “I can do it myself” a very kind man in a Land rover offered to help. He replaced the wiper blade and suggested I should put some WD40 on the creaking joint as well. What a great garage! It sold inexpensive wiper blades, WD40 and milk. So thanks to the garage and a BIG thank you to the man who helped! Who says the English don’t have big hearts?

Grief and Enlightenment

The dove will fly where it will
It won't stop me from grieving still
Be it long
Or be it short
These are all our lessons taught.

~ChiKiSpirit~

Last night was an inspiration for me. I have stepped up the hierarchical ladder and can now listen to my son and his friends putting the world to rights just the same way as my father and brothers did before him. I felt a warm, fuzzy feeling inside when I realised how easy it is to fondly smile at them, walk away and listen to the youngsters playing guitar and singing the old depressing songs my friends used to sing.

Now the the grief is over I can get on with my music book.
Have a good week!

The red squirrel

It was nice to see a red squirrel last week. I am waiting to take some video of red squirrels either late spring or early summer 2010.

See comment.
